“Wanderlust; a strong desire to travel”. Many people desire to travel to free themselves from the norms of their lives, to experience something beyond what they are used to. Whether it be sightseeing, language, customs but most importantly, food and drinks. The wide variety of palettes we have, impact the tastes we like and dishes we develop all over the world. In fact, even down to the snacks and beverages in local supermarkets there are major distinctions to be identified based on flavours, brands, packaging and ingredients. “Wonderlust” aims to bring those “Wonders” of our world together in a place where we can taste, experience and learn about what others enjoy across the globe.
Wonderlust began as an idea between two best friends, who love food and travelling together on holiday. At every destination the local stores would stock new and exotic items that would not typically be available in the UK. Even commonly known brands would have exclusive flavours that were supplied to that country only. Within the hospitality industry, bringing foreign flavours and cuisines in is very popular, so why not with snacks and beverages? Wonderlust plans to tackle this by bringing these products to the UK.
With the UK being so multicultural, Wonderlust has found a gap in the market and is filling a niche by offering products not available in typical retailers. Wonderlust is not just your local shop, it is an experience, and as such customers would not only be attracted by the exclusivity of the product, but also the cultural journey they are being taken on whilst shopping.
